Members of The Hoover Group of Reno have trained law enforcement personnel  in the San Jose Model and the Reno Model FTO/PTO programs for more than thirty years.  The Hoover Group offers program design founded on practitioner input coupled with real world experience.

Chief Jerry Hoover has taken a one-year leave of absence from his assistant professor position at Feather River College to accept an appointment as Principal Deputy Program Manager of the Afghanistan Civilian Advisor Support program.  This program is operated by DynCorp International and is responsible for running the Afghanistan National Police training program for the U.S. Department of State.
